ADVANCED AIR MOBILITY
AeroForum, Hall C, Changi Exhibition Centre
Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is a new and emerging mode of air transportation that has the potential to revolutionise the way we move people and goods. A variety of use cases have been contemplated, including air taxi services, cargo delivery, medical transport, emergency response and as private vehicles and there are a number of companies and organisations working to bring this new mode of transportation to market.
The AeroForum panels at the Singapore Airshow will bring together key stakeholders across the value chain to discuss the latest developments in AAM. The topics have been carefully curated to explore the differing business models, regulatory policies and implementation approaches globally as the industry moves towards the commercialisation phase of this sector.
Session 1: AAM INDUSTRY EXECUTIVES FORUM
20 February 2024, 3:30pm to 4:30pm
In this session, we have brought together prominent C-suite executives from the AAM OEMs to share their perspectives on the sector’s future trajectory.
AAM has advanced significantly, yet it remains some distance away from achieving widespread adoption globally. Panelists will discuss the near-term challenges as the industry marches towards commercialization and entry-into-service of the very first AAM aircraft, as well as postulate how the future may be when the industry matures.

Session 2: AAM BEYOND BORDERS – HOW DO WE ENABLE INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL?
21 February 2024, 10:30am to 11:30am
Much of the discussion within the AAM sector has been focused on urban air mobility (UAM), but there is a potentially larger market in regional air mobility (RAM) that is increasingly coming into the spotlight with longer range all-electric and hybrid VTOL and CTOL aircraft designs. For Singapore, aviation is by definition international travel and the RAM use case can be of great significance in the local context.
This session will dive into the topics that are necessary for the enablement of international AAM travel. From the customer journey to the regulatory frameworks and operating infrastructure, our panel of experts will unpack the differences between domestic and international AAM travel, and explore the additional considerations needed for international AAM travel to take off.

Session 3: AAM OPERATING MODELS - COMPLEMENT, COMPETE, OR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT?
21 February 2024, 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) has the potential to transform aviation as we know it today, both from a consumer-facing perspective but also from a business model perspective.
Numerous AAM operating models have emerged thus far that are different from the traditional definitions of commercial and business aviation. Highly integrated business models across the value chain have also emerged, signaling possible new ways of doing business.
This session seeks to understand the “why” and the “how” of the AAM business model. The panel of aviation experts come from across the operator space. We will deep-dive into the challenges and opportunities in developing AAM business models, why their business models will move the AAM industry forward, and how they see their role versus traditional commercial aviation.

Session 4: DEVELOPING THE AAM ECOSYSTEM – THE JOURNEY SO FAR AND THE JOURNEY AHEAD
23 February 2024, 11:00am to 12:00pm
AAM OEMs have attracted a significant amount of the investments in the sector, and the funds have largely been deployed for AAM vehicle development. However, for the industry to take off, the ecosystem has to move in lockstep.
In this session, we'll spotlight the diverse stakeholders shaping the future of urban air mobility, from government institutions, infrastructure players, operators, and OEMs. We will explore the substantial investments into AAM and discuss the potential returns that can be realized through the commercialization of this revolutionary industry.
We will also address the challenges, including infrastructure development, regulatory hurdles, and social acceptance. Join us as we navigate the collaborative efforts, innovations, and strategies driving this transformative sector forward.
