Captain LING Liong TienChief Safety Officer & Head of Advance Air Mobility, Capital A (AirAsia) GroupCaptain Ling acquired his flying license and MBA in Australia.
He started flying Twin-Otters in East Malaysia to the interiors before progressing to Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 jets serving regional and international destinations.
He also flew ultra-long hauls in the Middle East for many years before joining AirAsia to assist with the long-haul routes.
He has held several portfolios such as Head of Training, Head of Quality Assurance, and Chief Safety Officer for the Group.
Double hatting as Head of AAM, he and his team have set up the First RPTO in Malaysia, and currently working on several SUPs. The team is also working on UAM with the Joint Working Group that includes Avolon-e, Vertical Aerospace, and Skyports.
